Left home 7:35am and headed over the Border staying at Murrayville CP
Friday 23rd Day2
Still here....not too bad a day..got the little webber going tonight..cooked a great pork roast in campoven using heatbeads....actually cooked faster than we expected
Saturday 24th Day3
Left Murrayville around 8am....headed east to Ouyen then south on the Calder Highway...going through Sea Lake we are now camping at Green Lake...the lake is bone dry....still got power and old amenities for $20 night for 2......we are only ones here...apart from people walking their dogs...its not far off highway...you can hear vehicles....might stay couple nights.

Tuesday 27th Day6
Left Green Lake this morning after a very wet night...still light rain as we were packing up...
Headed down to Berriwillock to find our friends from campertrailer days.Lindsay and Sandra..found them
they were thinking someone with a caravan was lost .big time ....LOL...till we turned up...around 9:30am..stayed till almost mid-day.....then headed down to Wytcheproof....Rosie did some light shopping (bread etc)......then we headed 22klm south and staying now at Lake Wooroonook....its raining and might be rest of the night......tried my luck with metal detector....only got 50cent coin...30mins before had to dash to van from rain...might try again tomorrow...if weather improves

Still here...spent lot of the day M/detecting.....got 3 fishing line sinkers..for my effort...more rain.....had 3 neighbours today.....
Thursday 29th Day8
Left Wooroonook Lake this morning.around 8:45am...headed down to Donald.(55klm)...got fuel.....then headed about 25klm to Lake Batyo Catyo..FREE. getting here about 10am........The Lake is bone dry...and the amenities havent been used for a long time..while clean..they were full of spider webs.and leaf litter and dead insects.....found 1...(out of 24) power pole that still had power.....the MENS & LADIES had power but no lighting...we connected the van and set up for hopefully a couple of relaxing days..tried out the metal detector cause I tripped over a 5cent coin...but after 2 hours I found nothing..Saturday suppose to be stormy.

Still here....we had visitors today...a couple saw my post on CF....and travelled 100klm to come look..Al & Sandra.spent morning with us.
Had a campfire tonight........
Am fighting with Telstra to give us more internet.bandwidth...as we some how used extra 780mg..so at present no internet or extremely slow

Still here..day been overcast.Rosie did some cloth washing but it hasnt dried....I been keeping the campfire going all day...no visitors today.......by 5:30pm it started raining....at least we have power.to keep warm
Sunday 1st June Day11
Still here..Overcast...couple showers.not a lot happen today...got fed up with left finger bandaged up...might heal OK...ran bow-saw over it yesterday while cutting up tree branches
Monday 2nd Day12
Still here...collected more wood this morning....very overcast.Rosie did some cloth washing this morning.bit windy.hoping it will dry faster than Saturdays....it did.just....you wouldnt believe it...blue sky around 4pm.....and a starry night..Just on dark a ute came in.blasted a shotgun out at the lake then drove off.been shooting sounds most of afternoon....going to be cold tonight...We might unhitch in morning so Rosie can drive to Donald (25klm away)to do some grocery shopping

Still here.......woke to a very foggy day....had late breakfast ..unhitched van....so Rosie could drive to Donald...to get grocery's ..she was back by 10:45am..just as the fog cleared and misty rain started....anyway....we may be here for another week......no visitors today....been very quiet
Wednesday 4th Day14
Still here......foggy again this morning...cloudy day.rain tonight......Rosie cooked meatloaf in campoven tonight.....we walked across the dry lake to the island....bit muddy sticking to shoes.....lots of fish skeletons.out there.must been big fish...collected firewood before late lunch
Still no visitors.none since last Friday...tried metal detecting..still nothing of value...

Still here....not much happening...collected wood...weather weird as always..great sunset
Rang Telstra...they gave me 2Gig internet free...for not ringing since last Friday

Still here....woke to a brilliant morning...best day here.....tried metal detecting again..still no luck...collected more firewood...came in very stormy looking.....had dinner inside..just in-case

Still here....overcast and foggy morning....highlight for the day..we went for a walk up the entrance
road looking over the dry lake towards the campground......collected more wood on way back...always starts raining late afternoon..today no difference....still no visitors

Still here....been reasonably good weather today.....slight wind that cools things down fast.
Well after lunch we did our usual wood collecting....sat down just intime for 4 vehicles to come in and out.after each other....first was a older couple who hadnt been here for 25 years and decided to look in...next was a motorhome...but decided Teddington Res was better option....then a black waggon.then a you/bute/ute came in and out.busy afternoon...

Still here....2 more vehicles came in then out today......bringing the total to 12....thats 1 a day
collected wood.....was a very nice day for a change.though it started off cold at 2 degrees...saw a cat Rosie spotted yesterday...black with white soxs...no other animals apart from sheep in a neighbouring farm....thats the only ones the whole stay here

Last day here.....same as other days.weather not to bad.....burnt what wood we had left...saw another cat...long haired ginger....Shire vehicle dropped in.looked around then left...said nothing to us....well we are going home tomorrow.after 13 days here...

Wednesday 30th/ Day 1
Left home this morning...headed over the Border to Murryville CP.....11:30am..
Thursday 1st/ Day 2
Rosie went for walk found old army tanks....tried the Webber Smokey Joe..to cook a roast for dinner only to have the HeatBeads die after 15 mins....luckly we were on power.to use the microwave to finish meal off.....looked like rain all day but didn't
Friday 2nd/ Day 3
been very wet and cold.we went for a walk to see the army tanks ...then walked down to Pub for Friday night pizza night...dinner
Saturday 3rd/ Day 4
We left Murrayville around 8:30am.....and headed east then south to Rainbow CP.....well over 200klm trip......here tonight..still windy and wet ...cost $19 night powered site
Sunday 4th/ Day 5
Left Rainbow...Rosie checked out the murals then we headed down and across to Brim....forgotten how many times we been here..still $10 night powered........its busy with 4 other vans and a motorhome near us..........met Steve from CaravanCaravan today...he rocked up to take update pics of Brim for his website
Monday 5th/ Day 6
Still at Brim....not much happening...Local Council Ranger turned up.......never seen him here before
Tuesday 6th/ Day 7
Still at Brim ..........nice day Rosie did some washing...Dad rang...Mum had heart attack..operated on blockage...put stens in..not much else happened today....off tomorrow who knows where
Wednesday 7th/ Day 8
Left Brim this morning....went into Warracknabeal....Rosie got food at Fishers IGA while I bought a dressing gown for trips to the showers....and got fuel at Shell on the highway...lot cheaper.
Then we went out to Watchem.then out to Lake Watchem......only to find it a bit muddy and at $20 power or $10 night not......so we headed down to Donald...and staying night at the CP.$20 night powered..very run down place..but we are parked next to amenities....Dad says Mum is doing better but still cant hold food down yet.
Thursday 8th/ Day 9
Left early and headed down to Ararat ..had a look at Cathcart reserve....could have stayed but right on a bend in a main road.......so back to Ararat.then out on the Western Highway to a camp ground called Greenhill Lake......about 4.5klm away..no power but had flushing toilets and warm showers.$5 night.
Friday 9th/ Day 10
It was very cold and stormy looking...most had left by mid morning we desided to stick it out...Rosie did a load of washing..we had lunch..and desided it was time to move and find power...looked up books and found a place called Willaura ......down East side of Grampians....got there to find our neighbours from this morning already here...$20 night powered.....about 30ft from a rail-line on edge football oval...a match will be played tomorrow so we will get out early as we can....might get to Cavendish.or up to Hynes....who knows.
(been ringing Dad each day.....Mum is slightly improving....)
Saturday 10th/ Day 11
Left Willaura this morning early.....finally found the shortcut road out to Cavendish...what a trip....flood plains then steep mountains through the Sierra Ranges .then to Cavendish...only to see it water logged....so onward we travelled and arrived at Hynes Camp ground.....had lunch only to find a couple we met at Greenhill Lake then Willaura...arrived here....setting up near us........we had a fire going only by 6:30pm the rain started and we headed indoors to finish our dinner.
Sunday 11th/ Day 12
Went for walk near the Dam......not much happening....saw a reindeer ...but no kangaroos this trip here
Monday 12th/ Day 13
Still here.....a chap we met at Narrung last year ....turned up today..."Neville"
spend most of the day collecting firewood and keeping the fire burning we need coals for tonight's dinner
Tuesday 13th/ Day 14
Still here...spend day collecting firewood......Rosie spotted budgies in a tree by Res...I saw a naked young lady heading towards her car around 6:15am..
Wednesday 14th/ Day 15
Last day...before heading home tomorrow...not a lot happening.....went for walk to Res...no collecting wood today.......saw lot of kangaroos early morning and the famous reindeer
