Lameroo Caravan Park

Adelaide Cup weekend we headed out to the Mallee...checking areas to bush camp but ended up at the Caravan Park at $21 a night powered site

What a lovely little Park....green grass to park on......clean unisex toilets & showers

The Park was empty most of the weekend

A nice BBQ area too overlooking a man made lake...Lake Roberts

We would recommend staying at this little Caravan Park on your trip over the boarder

Australia Day Weekend

Not sure exactly where to go camping we did a search on the internet and found Murrayville Caravan Park...just over the SA/Vic boarder.
It was a Council run Park with very clean and tidy showers and toilets....and laundry..$10 a night powered site....was well worth the 320klm trip there

Contact Person: Lorraine Yard
Phone Number: (03) 5095 2126
Mobile Number: 0439 952 126
Location Address: Reed Street, Murrayville VIC 3512
Located up the main street of the town and just past the swimming pool, the Murrayville Caravan Park is possibly the most peaceful, cheapest and greenest caravan park in Australia. It is equipped with 8 powered sites and numerous un-powered sites where campers can spread out and enjoy the open spaces. The ablution block was recently upgraded in February 2007 thus the shower and toilet amenities are new and very sufficient. In the future, we hope to have two on-site cabins available for hire.
Facilities: Barbeque, Water Supply, Large Rigs Accepted, Pets Allowed, Power, Showers & Toilets

On the edge of the Park is a Public Pool...Open between 2pm and 6pm dayly at $2.80pp was great on those hot days

We both enjoyed it greatly

We went for a stroll through the town..very old but very tidy...the parks and info center were beautiful....lots of public toilets around

We left on Sunday.........Yes it was well worth the trip there...met a great SA couple that have been on the road 4 years...they spend a lot of time camped there.

BAAN HILL RESERVE SA

On Saturday the 24th Sept we and our friends Burnie and Shirley went free camping at Baan Hill.Reserve..which is about 25klm from Lamaroo in SA's mallee country

Toilets were Ok...needed a clean out due to bird invasion leaving messages...they were well used

The shelter was very useful especially Saturday as it was quite wet in the morning. Sunday there was a bee invasion that made it hard to get to the wood we collected

The area was very quiet and we all enjoyed the walking trails

As the sun set on Sunday night we realised our weekend away was almost over
