Goldstream Group

Thursday the 6th Dec we headed to Glenpatrick Common near Ararat Victoria
We arrived on sunset set up what we could and spent time chatting to a couple with a Goldstream Crown caravan.
The idea of the weekend was a get together of Goldstream caravan owners and see all the different types available. It was fantastic that the Goldstream Boys... Russel and Ian came..they helped many with questions etc..and handed out some freebies .....Russel also brought a new van to show off their new colour scheme they were introducing.
I'm not sure on exact numbers but I think there were around 21 vans there.
Glenpatrick is a good size camping area with a shelter and flushing toilets..free or a donation

new van colouring

before you knew it ..it was Monday the10th and time to pack up and take the 8hour trip back home

Narrung Again

Yes... we went back to Narrung this weekend...left home Friday the 24th and came home Monday 27th.
We actually had the area to ourselves..
Friday the sky was dark and there was a strong WSW wind so we parked by a row of trees to act as a windbrake...which worked well till Monday when the wind direction changed and almost blew our awning off..

Sunsets were spectacular.....

Ofcourse the view of the Lighthouse was great curtain times of the day

This is the second time we been here free camping this year....what a great spot on the Coorong SA

Australia Day Weekend

Not sure exactly where to go camping we did a search on the internet and found Murrayville Caravan Park...just over the SA/Vic boarder.
It was a Council run Park with very clean and tidy showers and toilets....and laundry..$10 a night powered site....was well worth the 320klm trip there

Contact Person: Lorraine Yard
Phone Number: (03) 5095 2126
Mobile Number: 0439 952 126
Location Address: Reed Street, Murrayville VIC 3512
Located up the main street of the town and just past the swimming pool, the Murrayville Caravan Park is possibly the most peaceful, cheapest and greenest caravan park in Australia. It is equipped with 8 powered sites and numerous un-powered sites where campers can spread out and enjoy the open spaces. The ablution block was recently upgraded in February 2007 thus the shower and toilet amenities are new and very sufficient. In the future, we hope to have two on-site cabins available for hire.
Facilities: Barbeque, Water Supply, Large Rigs Accepted, Pets Allowed, Power, Showers & Toilets

On the edge of the Park is a Public Pool...Open between 2pm and 6pm dayly at $2.80pp was great on those hot days

We both enjoyed it greatly

We went for a stroll through the town..very old but very tidy...the parks and info center were beautiful....lots of public toilets around

We left on Sunday.........Yes it was well worth the trip there...met a great SA couple that have been on the road 4 years...they spend a lot of time camped there.
