Well we decided to go away the Adelaide Cup long weekend..8th - 11th March
We just got the van back from a caravan repairer at Lonsdale SA.who replaced cupboard doors with draws and had the van serviced.
So where to go and try the alterations out....finally it was Cape Jervis....to a sheep station thats a Farm Stay......working farm...$25 a night powered site if you could call it that....park close to a power supply...might be a building.
Lot turned up for just one night.waiting for the Sea-Link to get them to Kangaroo Island..which was seen from our location
We camped next to a stable built around 1840...the holes in the wall were there to shoot from if attacked by natives
Sea-Link from KI
Sunsets were spectacular
We are going away Easter weekend next

Narrung first for this year
Yes I know.. we went back again...this time on the 25th- 28th January Australia Day weekend
It was crowded when we arrived we thought..but we were wrong...as more and more arrived and even more came but soon left.
Over the weekend there were 11 caravans...campertrailers...motorhome....and at least 30 tents
Most of the tents belonged to a tribe of motorbike enthusiasts from many clubs and private owners prob over 70 there.that meet this time of year to start/plan their winter get togethers
They were so close together......next pic shows area before they arrived Friday
We found a spot by the reeds close to the toilets..thankgoodness the wind was blowing the smell away from us..it got pretty ripe at times
Would we go back.......ofcourse....we enjoy it there and meet so many nice people

Goldstream Group
Thursday the 6th Dec we headed to Glenpatrick Common near Ararat Victoria
We arrived on sunset set up what we could and spent time chatting to a couple with a Goldstream Crown caravan.
The idea of the weekend was a get together of Goldstream caravan owners and see all the different types available. It was fantastic that the Goldstream Boys... Russel and Ian came..they helped many with questions etc..and handed out some freebies .....Russel also brought a new van to show off their new colour scheme they were introducing.
I'm not sure on exact numbers but I think there were around 21 vans there.
Glenpatrick is a good size camping area with a shelter and flushing toilets..free or a donation

Narrung Again
Yes... we went back to Narrung this weekend...left home Friday the 24th and came home Monday 27th.
We actually had the area to ourselves..
Friday the sky was dark and there was a strong WSW wind so we parked by a row of trees to act as a windbrake...which worked well till Monday when the wind direction changed and almost blew our awning off..
Sunsets were spectacular.....
Ofcourse the view of the Lighthouse was great curtain times of the day
This is the second time we been here free camping this year....what a great spot on the Coorong SA
